I showed my face on my Instagram stories today, so I thought - while I'm outside of my comfort zone, why not post a SELFIE?!
I realized that I haven't posted a picture of myself in 2020 yet so HI, here I am! Same me. Still have brown hair, no new piercings, and I'm still not getting my eyebrows waxed often enough (but I have a date with @sweethavenspa tomorrow).
Change of subject but it's on my mind: I've been thinking a lot about perspective.
Yesterday I had a really weird day:
✨started by me repeatedly unable to check into my gym... because it turns out I was scanning my LIBRARY CARD instead of my gym one.
✨when I finally got in (late), I took a yoga class that was extremely hard and got my brain spinning stories about how I didn't belong there
✨and THEN I got a call that our point of sale hardware (the thing our sales iPad plugs into) was literally SMOKING/nearly on fire. yay!
✨I ran out of a prescription and my pharmacy seems to be going out of its way not to refill it
But also yesterday...
✨I ran into my neighbor friend @jennscookiejar at the gym and we chatted about an amazing collab we have in the making
✨I went on a sunny walk with a wolf (@puff_pancake) who was on her very best, pranciest behavior
✨I got to write my weekly email (goodsheila.com/join) which is a collection of my favorite things and always makes my day
✨I did some reading and my mind is being blown (Essentialism by Greg McKeown... more on that coming)
How I feel about my day is all about perspective, and I'm choosing to look at it as a pretty good day. So there's that.
Okay, if you like seeing my face head to my stories where I briefly show my face but then show you my process from taking a design from painting to greeting card.
